We left Cap sante @ 7:30pm on Friday with dinghy loaded with pallets for campfire in tow. Of course upon arrival @ James after nearly swamping dinghy in mid Rosario Strait all mooring buoys and dock space was taken. Anchor is buried under sleeping bags and b-day presents so we sidled up to dock looking as forlorn as possible. All vessels on dock were doing their level best to be too busy to notice us then finally a wonderful mom from Everett stated there should be a state law for boats with children to have priority priveleges at the dock. We met friends from A-town tent camping with three kids in homemade 14 foot boat and ate smores and opened presents. Back to boat discovered we were short one sleeping bag so Dad got everyones extra clothes and sails piled on him and we slumbered till 6am when kids were back in action to the dismay of at least one lady. I dunno what she said through the canvas of her tent but the kids were silent for at least an hour.... We hiked and fooled around till noon then sailed away!

Sorry to have missed the party (kid style)! If we had windwalker there, we could have rammed the dock & broke a few boats free to open up space cool.gif

Still up for a family cruise? July is open!
