Why do people cruise?, What's your reason for battling the elements?

Avoiding yard work, treasure hunting, drinking in peace? Why do we do it?

"Cruising" to me is when there are no detailed schedules and no fixed destinations and the fewer regulations the better. I enjoy the flexibility and freedom it allows. When destinations and schedules are added it can still be good, enjoyable etc. but less so than "cruising". When cruising there may be no lawns to mow, but was there ever a boat that demanded less than a lawn demands?

There may be as many reasons people cruise as there are cruising people.

On deck where everyone could enjoy it. It provided a nice waterfront park and picnic area on J dock.

I'm sure many families will have great memories of croquet and lawn darts from when they were children playing on the San Juan 28 at J dock.

Because the roads are getting too crowded for us also motorcyclists.

For that matter, the water is starting to get crowded too dry.gif
