Inferno
Number: 918
Rating: 238
Owner: Steve Orsini
The 1350 lb Santana 20 is a well established one design class with the boat in production since 1977. The boat is easily trailerable. Set up with the standard cable to keelbolt lift point, I launch Inferno from the hoists at T dock. Nationals usually have about 40 boats. Standard crew is three and everyone is plenty busy. The boat has a high aspect conventional rig which makes it great for sailing PHRF in our lighter wind area, but the boats also handle heavy weather. We were planing downwind under spinnaker and watched Raven pitchpole that windy Tulip Regatta not so long ago.
