Social Program
The AYC racers keep the clubhouse warm on many Saturdays, Wednesdays, and both Saturday and Sundays during regattas. Our cruisers prefer to be meeting at locations accessible only via boat but occasionally do use the clubhouse for planning purposes. The clubhouse is utilized for our board meetings the fourth Tuesday of each month, and every Friday evening.
Frequently, members come up with original ideas for opening the club for socializing… SUPERBOWL Sunday, the America’s Cup races, and Celebration of Life gatherings are just a few. The clubhouse is also rented out to local groups and members for many private and community functions. Contact the Rear Commodore with your request to rent the clubhouse.
Should a member have an idea for socializing with other members, the board is happy to entertain nearly all ideas. Our web page has recently been updated and contains many helpful functions. Because our members tend to be quite technologically hungry, we will be opening the clubhouse from time to time to explain the new site.
