Start Boat Assignments
AYC will use designated start boats for all distance races in 2008. Your duties as start boat:
1) Verify that all flags, horns, radios are present and in working order prior to race day2) Know and understand the start sequence as detailed in the race packet
3) If you are unsure, or have questions, contact the start boat from the previous race
4) If you are unavailable to perform start boat duty, it is your responsibility to find a replacement
5) If all else fails, call the race chairman prior to race day
We are a volunteer club, this requires every boat to pitch in, be prepared, and help make this a well organized and fun racing season.
