2025 Cruising – Save the dates!
The Anacortes Yacht Club encourages and supports cruising, both planned and spontaneous during the year. New members and new cruisers are welcome to get to know fellow members and our “Best-in-the-World” cruising waters. Thank you to all our volunteer Cruise Captains!
Organized cruise registrants receive detailed information via email ahead of each cruise including tide and weather forecasts. Cruise captains will provide agendas and arrival tracking. They may even catch your lines!
April 4-6: Shakedown Cruise – Friday Harbor Marina. Your spring boat check-out. SJIYC dinner on Friday night. Kings Market for groceries. Bill and Julie Stinson are Cruise Captains.
May 2-4: Dave Thomson Memorial Sucia Island Cruise – Fossil Bay dock and picnic shelter. Bring your ugliest Hawaiian shirt. Talk story around the campfire.
May 23-25: Garrison Bay Cruise – Anchor or raft in Garrison Bay, San Juan Island – Memorial Day Weekend. Oysters a Westcott Bay Shellfish.
July/August: Vancouver, BC Cruise – False Creek, may be combined with the Gulf Islands Pub Crawl, dates not yet determined.
August: Gulf Islands, One Expectation Pub Crawl – 8 nights, 8 Pubs…. dates not yet determined.
September 5-7: Wine, Cheese & Chocolates Cruise – Huge attendance in 2024 with room for more. Deer Harbor, Orcas Island. Land cruise options.
October 3-5: Autumn Leaves Cruise – Roche Harbor, San Juan Island. Bill & Julie Stinson are Cruise Captains for the 3rd year in a row. Oktoberfest potluck Saturday night on the party barge! Land cruise options.
Cruise Captains are needed. Bill will provide advice, guidance, and checklists.
