AIS "Party"
Looking forward to the cruising season? Spring is around the corner! Join your AYC friends for the informal "AYC AIS Party" on Friday, March 11th at 4:30 pm. This is a land-based event. On Friday, March 11th, go to your boat, dust off and turn on your AIS unit from 4:30 to 5:00 pm, so that other AYC members can see your information. Use this time to program AIS information transmitting from AYC boats onto your device as a "fleet" or "favorite". This will make it easy to locate other members when out cruising. Don't have AIS? No worries, use a cell phone AIS app such as Marine Traffic or Vessel Finder to create your list of favorites. After the event, join us at the AYC clubhouse at 5:30 pm for happy hour and the General Meeting. Registration is encouraged so that we can establish a participant list for distribution to the group prior to the event. See you out there!!
