September Monthly Dinner & Program

Our presenter John Gargett has been an avid boater for sixty years growing up on the waters of the Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, and the Gulf Islands.  John is a Past Commodore of the Bellingham Yacht Club and Secretary of the Semiahmoo Marina Association.  John recently joined Norwest Marine Services serving as their Senior Marine manager.  Norwest Marine Services offers a wide array of vessel maintenance, repair, and servicing catering to the diverse needs of vessel owners.

John will be discussing the Poseidon Vessel Management approach Norwest Marine Services has developed that views a vessel as a complex system made up of subsystems, all of which require maintenance, care, and regular updates in order to ensure optimal performance.  John will cover the entire approach from initial assessment through ongoing management of the vessel.  Attendees will learn the Poseidon approach and come away with a comprehensive understanding of vessel management.

We have a delicious dinner planned including: Roasted Pork Loin w/ Apple Sauce or Roasted Red Pepper w/ Quinoa (vegetarian option), Roasted Baby Red Potatoes, Green Salad w/ various Dressings, Deli Rolls, and Brownies.  Cost per dinner:  $20.   Bar opens at 5:30, Dinner at 6:30, Presentation at 7:00 pm
